Should Christians be celebrating this "holiday" ???

The answer to that, is NO! why you ask? here I will let you know why, and the arguments that MANY Christians have to say about WHY THEY CAN celebrate this evil day....

First of all, what is Halloween really about and when did it originate?

ANSWER: Halloween originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, the festival of the dead.

Over 2000 years ago, the Celts (which included people from northern France, Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales) believed that on October 31st the Lord of Death, Saman, would call together all the souls that had died the previous year to travel to afterlife during the Vigil of Samhain. Ancestral ghosts and demons emerged from sidh (ancient mounds or barrows of the countryside) and were free to roam the earth, harm crops, and cause trouble. the Celts held this festival called Samhain, to help the dead along their journey and keep the living from being affected by those of the dead who were evil. During this festival they would sacrifice animals, vegetables, and fruits to the dead, and light bonfires in honor of them.

The living would often disguise themselves in ghoulish costumes, such as animal skins and heads, so the spirits of the dead would think they were one of their own and pass by without incident. The masked villagers would also form parades to lead the spirits out to the town limits. The Celts would also offer food to Saman to persuade him to be more temperate as he judged their ancestors. Additionally, the Celts would lay out food for their weary ancestors traveling to the other world or to appease spirits who were looking for trouble.
Because these roaming spirits were thought to hold the secrets of the afterlife and the future, Celtic priests, or Druids, thought that divination's could be read with more clarity on this particular day. The priests would light large fires to both strengthen the Sun god and to make divination's by throwing a horse or cat (sometimes in a wicker cage) into the fire and watch the burning entrails. At midnight, they would begin to worship Saman, who would be the ruler of the earth for the next six months.
The transformation of Samhain to "Halloween"
The Roman Empire had taken over most of the Celtic lands. The Romans had two festivals also celebrated at the same time of year as Samhain. One was Feralia, also in late October, was the Roman day honouring the dead. The second festival was for Pomona, the Roman goddess of trees and fruit. Pomona's symbol was the apple. These two festivals were combined with Samhain in the Celtic lands during the four hundred years the Roman Empire ruled over the Celts. The goddess Pomona's apple might be the root of the Halloween tradition of bobbing for apples.
The Christian part of Halloween
Over the next several hundred years, Christianity had spread to include the lands inhabited by the Celtics and the Romans, but the festival of Samhain was still celebrated by the people. The Christian church reportedly did not like a festival with Pagan roots practiced by Christians, so a replacement was needed. So instead of forcing the Pagans to drop their Pagan practices and accept Christianity, the Roman Catholic Church just made room to accommodate them. Pope Boniface IV designated May 13 as All Saints Day to HONOR dead church saints and martyrs. Samhain continued to be celebrated, so in 835 A.D., Pope Gregory IV moved the holiday to November 1. Since All Saints Day was sanctioned by the church, and related to the dead, the church was happy, but many Pagan traditions of Samhain continued to be practiced, including bonfires, parades, and dressing up in costume. All Saints Day was also known as All Hallows, or All Hallowmas (Hallowmas is Old English for All Saints Day). Since Samhain was celebrated the night before November 1, the celebration was known as All Hallows Eve, and later called Halloween.

So why do Christians think it's OKAY to celebrate this holiday?

Many churches are teaching their congregation that it is OKAY to celebrate Halloween, and are partakers in this holiday.

(Note the women in this video say Jesus would think this Holiday is "Fun!" )

There has been many arguments from Christians, specially Christian mothers saying why should they deprive their children from a few hours of fun and lots of candy, that other Christians shouldn't force their "Satanic Ideas" on them, because they aren't giving Satan any room in their lives (that couldn't be further from the truth!)

Christians who are teaching their Children that it is OKAY to compromise the Word of God by partaking in this worldly, evil holiday, are causing them to sin, and will be held accountable for this. As scripture says:

Matthew 18:6 (KJV)

6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Other Christians are also stating that they still Love the Lord and don't see the harm in celebrating Halloween and that they will CONTINUE to celebrate Halloween and HOW MUCH THEY LOVE! this holiday. Christians are also throwing around the argument that YOU are JUDGING THEM for celebrating this Holiday, but doesn't scripture quote that a Christian should reprove another Christian for doing wrong? Imagine if Jesus, His Apostles, and Paul were apathetic and did not "reprove the world of sin?" Yet this is what "Christians" are called to do.

2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Timothy 4:1-5 (KJV)

4 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Many Christians aren't happy when called out on their error, and instead of acknowledging the error of their ways, attack fellow Christians and/or try to justify their actions in participating in this worldly holiday. Let's see what the Bible has to say about this?

1 Corinthians 10:20-21 (KJV)

20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

2 Corinthians 6:14-16 (KJV)

14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

What actually happens on Halloween
This is the truth, and no matter how much you try and deny it and shut it out and pretend it is not happening, this is what is going on, on Halloween! So instead of throwing parties and dressing up, giving out candy, have a "good time" on Halloween, Christians SHOULD BE praying for the protection and safety of those out there that are going to be sacrificed or who are in danger on this this evil night! Babies, teenagers, adults, animals! all of them need your prayer!

No matter how much a Christian tries to justify celebrating Halloween, a Christian who celebrates Halloween is guilty of witchcraft by commemorating a Satanic high holy day. Halloween has never been a Christian holiday, and it has no place in the church or the life of a Christian. Christians are children of LIGHT not Darkness! and should not participate in the dark things of Halloween!

The Bible says in the last days many will be deceived. What fellowship has light with darkness?
You cannot drink from the Lords cup and sit at the Devils table!
